Student feedback

This is my 2nd year teaching in NUS. Tutored a design module this semester. Really had a great time learning from the students.

So...we had an anonymous campus wide student feedback thingy. I'm glad to say that I've consistently improved every semester

Anyway, this is what the students had to say...the goods and the bads...i had one requesting for me to teach more modules...awww..i'm so touched...err...i hope whoever that student is...had done really well...so sweet...

Q9  What are the teacher's strengths?
1.She is very approachable for consultation and it very helpful with her opinions on your work. Instead of simply critiquing your work, she is open to discussing it and suggesting improvements.
2.She is extremely easy-going and approachable, doesn't flare up easily, provides constructive comments for our work and a helpful tutor as a whole.

4.She encourages you to produce better pieces of work. I find her very encouraging.
5.Able to facilitate discussions quite effectively.
6.Siti is extremely approachable and give great feedback on our work. She is a great tutor in all aspects.

15.Siti is a very fair tutor who understands the problems that we go through as we do the assignments. With a friendly deposition, she's always approachable and her feedback really does help.

4.She tends to create this hierarchy among the class, though not intentionally and not so obvious, but being one of the not so good students who cant produce works that are as good as others, I find it quite stressful during tutorials.

8.She can perhaps pick out good works and explain why they are good (i.e. how the lecture concepts are applied well), so that students can understand better how to go about doing the various assignments.

19.During tutorials, she could probably provide more useful comments to students' assignments. Some weak students in the tutorial group were not helped to apply what they learned in lectures. Also, she could guide the class to give more critical & useful comments on other people's work, and help develop a positive attitude in class.

Mang0 sal3 etc

Went down to the mango sale with mnm yesterday. Had never been in the queue before. Actually went to 2 branches in orchard. Lolx. It's a girl's influence. what can i say?

i discover i'm very skinny. i know everyone's been saying it but somehow that white top makes me super skinny. i think i need to weigh myself. i eat mind you....when i eat i really eat...but i do have the lazy tendency so i may occasionally skip lunch when i'm too lazy to get up from my comfy chair.

h.l. called me today. have to be down to goldhill again tmw. he said there are some missing items. brr...i hope he missed some things and not I. he didnt mention anything abt the cost and cheek aint going down with me again....sian....

wc is back. as usual we were gossi chatting abt much things...heee...oh, she told me some unpleasant news abt a colleague. i hope things work out for the lady soon.

asked my boss for a lappie instead of desktop. approved by the blackberry! woohoo...that's fantastic. wdnt have done it if cheek didnt keep reminding me abt it. i'm such a kitten.think it fits betta with the new set-up and it's seriously more practical.

cheek's coming home later...hooray..missed him loads...
